Testimonies

“Blessed With Cancer is a book to be read and shared and treasured. It’s the story of one woman’s journey from despair to hope to recovery. Written in a personal way that will keep the reader engaged from the very first page, I can’t recommend it enough.”

Debbie Macomber

“We all need books that lift our spirits and feel our souls – especially when confronted with cancer. Blessed With Cancer provides a rich path for you to find God’s grace in all things. Enjoy this wonderful read”

Kay Allenbaugh
Author, Chocolate for a Woman’s Soul

“As a breast cancer survivor, I can identify personally with Linda’s story. Like Bernie Siegel’s Love, Medicine & Miracles, this story is an inspiration to anyone dealing with life threatening issues. I believe Linda brings the reader insight through her own process of emotional survival and spiritual evolvement. Anyone who has had breasts removed knows the little voice inside that catches one unaware. Linda’s battle scars are her badges of courage. Life is good.”

Nationally recognized and award winning financial planner, author and speaker.

“I too have had a life changing event. What can be more threatening than a disease that will snuff you out overnight? Linda gives us courage, when most would cower. Linda overcame major obstacles and is an inspiration to us all.”

Chuck Whitlock
Author of “Police Heroes”, “Easy Money” and “Age Without Rage.”

“Linda and Ron serve as journalists of a new kind in this powerful book as they approach Linda’s yearning to understand cancer’s purpose in her life with a bold, fresh and honorable approach. I believe this book serves to not only inspire cancer patients and survivors, but anyone who aspires to truly know and realize God’s truth: unfathomable grace and mercy, faithfulness, blessing, hope and love.”

Katie Harman
Miss America, 2002

“Blessings abound in this engaging memoir of a woman faced with the news we’ve all learned to fear and dread, that she has cancer, and how the resulting events reshape her world, her body and her spirit. Linda Mobley’s encounter with cancer becomes an opportunity for her to connect with her loved ones and herself in ways she never could have anticipated, to discover hidden blessings in the most unexpected places, and to learn that sometimes we’re strongest when we’re most vulnerable.”

Marilyn Clint
Associate Executive Director
Portland Rose Festival Foundation

“This inspiring, true-life story demonstrates the classic principle that we are not a victim of our circumstances, but a product of our choices. This journey of expanding awareness, taking personal accountability, and connecting with God’s grace will inspire you to move to new heights.”

“Hi Linda, I heard you speak at the Relay for Life in Washougal last weekend and you were so touching and inspiring. I am one of the lucky ones that has not had cancer but sadly have friends who do which is why I participate in Relay. I am now enrolled in the Cancer Prevention Study that was on sight. I feel so blessed to be able to participate. I wanted you to know that your courage in fighting your fight gives me strength to battle the trials in mine….even if they aren’t cancer. You and Chanel will be in my prayers.”

Hi Linda,
Thank you so much for giving your testimony at the breakfast. It was very inspirational. I love the pink bracelet! Thank you.
The event touched everyone in attendance. I’m sure Legacy and Komen wants the clergy breakfast scheduled as an annual part of Worship in Pink.
Sincerely,
Kathy

Linda, I heard you speak last weekend at a walkathon on the waterfront. Your words touched me and spoke to me loud and clear. Your positivity inspired me to look at life in a whole new light. My 16 year old daughter struggles with typical teenage issues and also is dealing with some health problems. I was so happy that she happened to be with me to listen to your story. Ironically I went into work on Monday with your book hand in hand and the first thing I did was sit at my desk and open my email. I found out that a co-worker of mine in her early 40′s was just diagnosed with breast cancer. So I did as you told us. I wrote on a sticky note. “Stay positive and any negative feelings just kick to the side!” And I then left your book on her chair at work. Thanks Linda for an amazing story!
